Indian School of Business: A Connected Digital Ecosystem
What looked like three website redesigns was, in reality, one systems challenge. Indian School of Business needed to rethink its core website, Executive Education platform, and Knowledge Portal—each serving different audiences, content models, and business goals. Over time, the estate had become fragmented: inconsistent experiences, duplicated effort, and growing complexity across design, development, and maintenance.
The opportunity was not simply to redesign interfaces, but to create a connected digital foundation that could unify the experience, strengthen the masterbrand, and scale more efficiently over time.
The Challenge
ISB's digital ecosystem needed to work harder on multiple fronts: support diverse audiences from prospective students and executives to faculty, alumni, and researchers; improve discoverability across a large and complex content estate; express a clear relationship between the ISB masterbrand and its sub-offers; reduce friction across key journeys such as programme discovery, research exploration, and application; and lower the operational overhead of managing multiple sites.

The Response
The solution was to treat the brief as an ecosystem, not a collection of standalone sites. A shared digital foundation was established across all three platforms—built around reusable components, design tokens, common interaction patterns, and a flexible sub-branding model.

Executive Education
Redesigned around decision-making, with stronger programme differentiation, clearer trust cues, and lower-friction journeys for busy executives seeking professional development.
Knowledge Portal / ISB Discover
Rethought as a more accessible editorial product, with improved taxonomy, tagging, search, and content discoverability across research, insights, and thought leadership.

Research & Insights
The Knowledge Portal was reimagined as a premium editorial platform, with flexible layouts for thought leadership, research insights, and faculty perspectives—delivering content in a more engaging, readable format.
Dark Mode Experience
A refined dark mode interface for the Knowledge Portal, creating a premium reading experience for extended content consumption.

Mobile-First Approach
Every platform was designed with a mobile-first mindset, ensuring busy executives and prospective students can access information seamlessly across all devices.
The Outcome
The result was a more coherent, premium, and scalable digital ecosystem. For users, that meant clearer journeys, stronger findability, and a more consistent experience across platforms. For ISB, it meant a more efficient operating model: shared patterns, reduced duplication, and a foundation designed for long-term growth.
“More than a set of redesigned websites, this work established a system—one that brought greater clarity to the front end and greater efficiency behind the scenes.
Leadership Value
The most important shift in this engagement was strategic: reframing three separate briefs as one connected systems problem. That lens made it possible to solve for both experience quality and organisational scale—aligning brand, architecture, and operations within a single digital ecosystem.
